New Mobile-Optimized Registration

We first launched our mobile-optimized sign-up flow on July 4, 2022, to make registration faster and easier from a mobile device. We also took this opportunity to streamline the sign-up process - to ask only for the profile fields most important to others upfront.

We initially offered this as an alternate sign-up flow, in addition to the desktop-optimized experience. On Aug 2, 2022 we removed the legacy desktop sign-up flow, to use the streamlined registration exclusively for both mobile and desktop users.

Mobile-optimized registration and login were the first pieces of functionality released on our new domain, app.dharmamatch.com. More mobile-first functionality will become available on this domain in 2023, as we gradually move all site features there. All functionality made available on app.dharmamatch.com can also be published as native iOS and Android apps, which we plan to do once users can accomplish the majority of site operations on this new domain.

This form was difficult to navigate from a phone - and several more pages of desktop-centric registration followed this one!

What Does The Sign-Up Experience Look Like Now?

For those on a mobile device, our sign-up form now starts with this screen:

Users are taken through ~10 of these "mini" screens to complete sign-up - in our testing we found this cut down on the time to complete registration by 400%!
