You Can Now Hide Your Age On Your Profile

On October 26, 2026 we released the ability for dharmaMatch members to hide their age on their profile and in search results. A member who turns this on will appear as, for example, "Woman (Single)" instead of "59-year-old Woman (Single)".

Where Is My Age Hidden?

When you hide your age, it is no longer shown:

• on your profile page,
• in search results and on member listings,
• in our matches email (aka "Profiles To Consider"),
• in the public description of your profile that search engines (e.g. Google) can see if your profile visibility level is public. (See New Profile Visibility/Privacy Levels to learn more about those levels.)

Your age is hidden from everyone, including you, so your profile looks the same to you as it does to other members.

What Is Not Hidden?

Please be aware of the following:

• Members can search by age range, so your profile can still appear when a member searches for an age range that includes your age.
• Your astrological sign, which is based on your birth date, is still shown on your profile.

How Do I Hide My Age?

1. Go to Account Settings.
2. Under Display Preferences, check Hide my age on my profile and in search results.
3. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.

You can uncheck this box at any time to show your age again. Your date of birth is still required and is never shown to other members.
