I am someone with an interest in how our inner lives shape and are shaped by our environment in the potentially creative space that lies between the individual and society. While conscious of the systemic dynamics we participate in, I am of the view that most of the problems we face in the 21st Century have their roots in our inner lives and a lack development therein. I spent many years exploring psychoanalytic thinking and models of the mind, but have had a lifelong engagement with the spiritual philosophies of the east. Influences include Paramahansa Yogananda, Sri Aurobindo, The Pali Cannon (Bhikkhu Bodhi's translations) Alan Wallace's translations of Dudjum Lingpa, etc...
I am primarily interested in understanding and cultivating 'the good life' through contemplative and ethical practices and perspectives drawn from a range of traditions. I currently run a registered charity working in this area. I have a strong interest and personal practice in meditation.
