My one line description says. "Sometimes a Professor; Sometimes a Hippie." That's fairly accurate. I am a science professor at a well-known university. I love teaching and research. On the other hand, I have a long history of occasionally "dropping out", doing road trips, and exploring.
Most of my hobbies are outdoors: hiking, skiing (both downhill & cross country), skating (both on ice and on wheels). I've done lots of travel; Both in the US and overseas.
I recently returned from a 6 week cross country road trip. Mountains, Canyons, Lakes, Waterfalls, Basin & Range, Salt Flats,, Big trees. Lots of Hiking..... and an Abundance of Awe. I traveled with my puppy Charlie ("Travels with Charlie") and visited my favorite people from coast to coast.
One of the wonderful things about a road trip is it puts one's mind into the present moment. "Be Here Now." Well sort of..... How can one be HERE as one travels to a different here every moment? And how can one be NOW as time moves on? 😀 People on this site are probably familiar with those questions.🙃
I'm new on this site. What am I looking for? It could be a long-term relationship and a life partner. Alternatively, it could be somebody I see for dinner occasionally. I will enjoy either.... or both. It depends on YOU and what you are looking for. |

- Outdoors. For the last few weeks almost every day I've spent a couple of hours either hiking in the woods with my puppy or in-line skating (10-12 miles). I go to Colorado regularly to ski and hike
