About Me
|
|
|
I split my time between Asia and the UK, spending a few months in each. Long-term, I’m open to settling in the UK or Europe — I have the freedom to choose so and I’m exploring where feels most at home.
I’m here for a real in person connection — not looking for hookups, penpals, or virtual buddies. I’m drawn to people with thoughtful minds and open hearts.
I'd describe myself as: a not-yet enlightened being with a good heart, honest and straightforward, fun-loving with balanced spontaneity, intelligent enough, multicultural, well-travelled with an international outlook. I am a resourceful problem-solver, naturally curious, and very open-minded.
I love nature and animals, enjoy kayaking/canoeing, slow hiking, cooking, and occasional photography.
I am into early Buddhism as a practice and life philosophy, my main practices are Satipatthana, Brahmavihara, and Insight Dialogue. A free-thinker.
I have a good steady job but am ready to leave in a short few years as I hope to focus on mindfulness practice (and sharing the practice if the conditions are right) for the rest of my life. Where and how to live and with whom then is the not knowing part :) I am open to suggestions.
What relationship I am looking for?
I see a good intimate relationship as a life partnership of two fun-loving imperfect humans with good hearts and good intentions, who are committed to supporting each other's growth and radiating goodness in this world. |

-
. being human, alive and conscious, and having access to the teachings of the awakened.

-
My goals, and what I want out of life...
-
Practise Mindfulness, specifically, Sati Sampajañña and Brahmavihārā, for the cultivation of wisdom and compassion. Wisdom is not deep without compassion, so it is one thing. I believe it is the panacea for everything, it's not if, but when the conditions are right.

. forgiveness and gratefulness.
-
Five or ten years from now, I see myself...
-
I hope I have another 40 healthy years to learn and grow, and to help whenever I can.
--- I absolutely love Steph Davis' philosophy of life: ---
"You have to do what feels right, what lights you up. Do your best always. Conserve. Never waste anything. You can only have what you can carry: choose it carefully, make it last, take care of it. Appreciate what you have for as long as you have it. Be ready to do without it. No matter what happens, deal with it. Adapt, instantly when necessary. Take care of yourself. Try to help. A lot of times you fail, sometimes you succeed. Either way, you're never the whole reason for it."
