Moment-to- moment attunement and presence are how I most easily express my love and I highly desire the same in return. Your simple curiosity, asking a deliberate question about what you and I are experiencing right now (and fully listening for the answer) is what I call intimacy. And when that intimacy becomes explicit between us, that's irresistibly potent and totally sexy to me. I can teach you how I like to be attuned to but if landing in the unknown and vulnerability of the here-and-now is a sensual starting point for you, I'm your man.
Most people would describe me as highly adventurous, mystical, rather unconventional, but well grounded and having pulled off a pretty good performance. At this point I'm happy in a basic way much of the time. I've had a lot of different life renditions: happily married for 20 years, have trained extensively in Buddhist monasteries in Thailand and India, was an Outward Bound mountain instructor for 13 years, and today fully loving my work online, traveling regularly to interesting places.
I keep a small Zen-like place in the hills above Boulder, CO. I'm told I have good taste, I don't get bogged down in "stuff", don't care much for shopping or glam. But I LOVE to travel, explore (especially YOU), hike, snuggle, be outdoors everyday if possible, and, especially, to swim. I love roadtrips with camping, interesting air BnBs and hot springs. I don't gravitate toward city life, loud noise, chaos or large gatherings. I'm overall sensitive to energy and intuitive (an INFJ if that helps).
I am a masculine, stable type of person. I value building a strong platform of deep friendship and safety which can withstand passion, exploration, and coming back to love when conflicts come up. I do not avoid conflict or intensity- I appreciate "grace AND grit"- but I don't thrive in drama and prefer calming, self-regulated energies! I'm not a good fit for highly anxious women. Sense of humor and ability to play are a must and I sometimes need reminding of this! I'm seeking a natural woman who has done enough of her own soul's journey that she feels simply good about herself- is neither brittle with inflation nor hiding out in fear of being seen- is confident in her femininity, warm, intuitive, and delivers her innate beauty as an outpouring of creativity or service.
I'm devoted to daily spiritual practice and to my work as a transpersonal/integral psychotherapist in the private practice I've built over the last 13 years. I take very good care of myself; I eat well, do not use drugs or alcohol, get plenty of sleep, and travel to beautiful places to work and play. I go on retreat regularly and my life is nearly continuous practice so i see any relationship as inseparable from a crucible of that practice.
I'm holding out that one day I'll realize reincarnation is just a hobby! In the meantime I still enjoy the games of intensive meditation practice, breath work, shadow/trauma work, medicine journeys and am always healing more subtle layers which have caused me to be reactive, speedy and unkind. I'm honest with myself and others which can come across as slightly direct. I'm aware of my old pattern of caregiving, over attuning to others and am still learning to receive, to ask, to allow myself to be vulnerable. It's all coming along beautifully, so much pleasure in the process these days.
I've been single for almost four years and have insisted on becoming my own best friend. I feel a new readiness and capacity for loving. I'm not sure I even need a "spiritual" partner at this point as I am well supported on my own trajectory. The main thing is that you be relatively healthy, have SECURE attachment, will maintain goodwill in our challenges, and can support me in admiration for my purpose. I will reciprocate. I would also be open to sharing our gifts to the world in collaboration!
