Fair weather Buddhist linked mostly with Theravada tradition. Love the forest and wild places.Teachers before contentment with my tradition have been Osho, Mother Meera. I have also been inspired by the Native American wilderness philosophy of Tom Brown Jr.
I help out with survival training and am frequently outdoors. I am also trained as a counselor. The monks and nuns in the monastic community Amaravati in Hertfordshire are currently teachers. It's often known as the Thai Forest Tradition.
My favorite quote is from Rumi, "The news we hear is full of grief for the future but the real news is there is no news at all." Some get it straight away! Favorite film is The Revenent.

I missed my usual 7 day Yatra. It's a spiritual hlke/walk with a few others filled with spaces of meditation. Doesn't anyone stay in contact anymore? Have screens taken over?
