Hello!
I'm a practicing Zen Buddhist, living in Uppsala in Sweden.
I started my Buddhist career back in 2015-16, when I went to a meditation center in my home town. Quite soon I moved to the organisation's main temple for full-time practice, where I stayed for 1.5 years. After that I moved to Uppsala where I live now for studies.
During my years of studies my practice slowly declined and then stopped, until this summer (2025) when I went to a retreat (sesshin), after which I now feel very passionate about it again.
Since it is so important to me, it can be difficult to relate to 'normal' poeple (e.g. on Tinder) on a deeper level. There's much more to it, but I don't want to write it all down here...
I believe that serious practicioners usually have two things: a personality predisposition (or karma, I guess you could say) and something that has been a great difficulty or sorrow for them in life, like the passing of a close relative. For me I think it has been an undiagnosed autism, which has made my life difficult in a way that was hard for me to see.
I'm a junior physician. After finishing my studies, I worked for two years in the north to receive my license after which I moved back here. And I have also studied Japanese, archaeology, and civil engineering... At the moment I'm trying to become a researcher. We will see how that goes. |

- I've always been a reader, with books as my main friends as a child. This has changed for the last years though. Sometimes I also like to write, but not fiction. I don't have that kind of imagination :)
Starting a course in traditional dance (gammeldans) soon, looking forward to that.
