| About Me
|
|
|
|
I'm a kind, active, creative soul endlessly curious about the world and other beings. My friends tell me I'm trustworthy, loyal, rock-solid reliable, and witty. They think I'm well- and widely-read, but there's so much to learn, how could I not be? I'm happier outdoors than indoors, except for being at the gym. I have a steady Kagyu Buddhist practice with a local sangha, and am hoping to meet other kind folks who have some regular spiritual or ethical practice. I live with one small dog and three cats, and am lucky enough to own my own home. I have good relationships with all my siblings and mom - and I would love to find other good people to add to my circle of friends and beloveds. Let's be surprised by joy and gentle adventures together! |

My Personality:
-
Caring, Creative, Intelligent
-
When out with friends, I'm usually:
-
The quiet one
-
What makes me laugh hardest:
-
A great character comedy, like Reservation Dogs
-
I'm happiest when:
-
I'm helping others, or petting my fuzzy critter companions, or slowly wandering on a trail looking at the little things like moss, or snacking on raspberries in my backyard, or getting a great weight workout at the gym, or learning something cool and surprising, or finishing a poem and sharing it with friends, or sitting in practice with my sangha buddies. How about you?
-
The things that annoy me are:
-
Unkindness, very loud car or truck exhausts, close-mindedness.
-
If I could have dinner with any three people, they would be:
-
I'd love to have dinner again with a few beloved friends who've died, and who I miss.
I'd love to have dinner with my favorite translator of Buddhist texts, Sarah Harding, because I've gotten to hear her in webinars and she is erudite, delightful and no-BS.
I'd love to have dinner with Christine de Pizan, the medieval author of City of Ladies, because she was a successful, independent author who commissioned illuminated manuscripts and I am fascinated by what it would have been like to live and create at that time.
