| About Me
|
|
|
I’m retired from biomedical sciences and a widower after 41+ years of marriage. As a thoughtful, grounded and financially savvy man, I values kindness, meaningful connection and life's quiet joys. Friends describe me as insightful and dependable - someone who listens and cares sincerely. I think companionship should bring peace, warmth, and inspiration to both hearts. Together, I’d like to build a lasting relationship - steady, joyful, and real.
I blend emotional intelligence with introspection and intuitiveness. My heart walks softly in memory land, and mind flows through purpose and meaning in life. I am a soulful translator of silence, and a romantic storyteller shaped by two continents 10,000 miles apart - bridging languages, time and love, sharing a life lived deeply. With tender heart and seeking mind, I turn sorrow into wisdom and love into light.
Buddhism is a way of life - “middle way,” which originated 2,500+ years ago, and I feel it has influence in my life. I attend weekly Insight Meditation and some of the day-long meditation retreats in Sacramento. I also attended a 4-day residential meditation retreat in Spirit Rock, Woodacre, CA. I grew up surrounded by four major eastern religions and have exposure to western religions. I value spirituality and humanity. "Yesterday, I followed religions and obeyed beliefs and rituals. Today, I kneel to truth, follow only beauty, and obey only love."
I’m looking for a warm, compassionate woman whose strengths and vulnerabilities complement my own so we can build something steady and harmonious together. Someone kind-hearted, open-minded, and ready for a relationship built on trust, humor, and mutual respect, who appreciates both meaningful conversation and simple shared moments. I believe love can grow beautifully - with and beyond romance, at any stage of life when two people bring sincerity, laughter, and gentle care to each other’s days. |

| Personality
|
|
|
-
My Personality:
-
Intelligent, Caring, Playful
-
When out with friends, I'm usually:
-
The quiet one
-
What makes me laugh hardest:
-
Old TV shows: Seinfeld, Three's Company, Family Ties, many funny Hollywood and Bollywood movies
-
I'm happiest when:
-
I feel joy and aliveness in other persons.
-
The things that annoy me are:
-
With my meditation practice, I turn my annoyance into amusement :-). However, I observe during my nature walks when by-passers talk loudly on their cell phones, some by-passers bury their face into cell phone not paying attention while walking or walking their dogs :-).
-
The best day of my life was when:
-
granddaughter's laughter watching Laurel and Hardy movies and Disney's hilarious cartoons series, her joyful screaming during Manta Ray snorkeling, and her giggling while reading Garfield comics.
-
If I could have dinner with any three people, they would be:
-
1. Siddhartha Gautama - called The Buddha for being awaken and having reached to enlightenment. He showed the path during times of inner and outer turmoil, advocating peace, non-violence, and compassion.
2. Mahatma M. K. Gandhi who brought independence to India on 15th August 1947; showing the World that freedom from foreign rulers was achieved without violence and with peaceful protest.
3. J. Krishnamurti (1895-1986), "One of the Greatest Thinkers of the Age" as described by Dalai Lama. His many talks were centered around Sanskrit word “Advaita” – meaning “not-two” or “one without a second”, and in Pali Buddhist term “Advaya” means “not two”. The word “Nondualism” was created later in 1997. “Observer and the Observed as One.” I think that J. Krishnamurti is an iconoclast - an original thinker. I can talk later about my experiences on Oneness when I visited Redwood National Parks, and while watching Milky Way - galaxy from top of the mountain on Big Island, Hawaii. There are talks and videos about J. Krishnamurti's teachings by Eckhart Tolle and A. H. Almaas on YouTube.

Life, by itself, holds little allure - the thrill, the meaning, lies in love.
There is no real joy in mere living - the joy lies in love.
A single moment is all you're given to live.

So steal a little peace from this fleeting time."
