I am an optimistic, energetic, out-going and romantic kind of guy...in search of a co-adventurer in life. I have wonderful friends. I have had a career path that has been exciting and challenging. Now, I seek a man that is my best friend... and is also, my monogamous life partner.... A man to laugh and cry with, a man who challenges me, and also is my refuge.... A man to hold hands with at the theater, a man who is emotionally mature, and capable to co-create our happy and successful life together.
I'm a masculine man... a non-smoker, no drugs, moderate drinker, HIV-neg., over educated, HONEST and responsible.. .. Born in California, and have lived in various parts of the world...
Love exploring spirituality and discovering the meanings of life...Grew up Catholic, and gave it up at age 21. 3 years later, I had graduated from UC Berkeley, moved to Hawaii, ...and met a full blooded Hawaiian woman, who became my friend, Spiritual Teacher and Hawaiian Tutu,..hung out with Nana Veary, for almost 20 years,...learning who I am, and all the gifts I've been given in this life.....Also spent over 25 years with Religious Science and Unity Church, several years with Self Realization Fellowship, several years with Gay Men's Buddhist Sangha in San Francisco, and several years of Tibetan Buddhism with Shambhala. Love going on silent retreats and group meditations....
I got into "Personal Growth" when I was 20, ...attending a workshop with Fritz Perls (founder of Gestalt therapy, a humanistic approach to psychotherapy that helps clients focus on the present and understand their whole self)...Then, in 1974, at 24 years old, got involved with EST (Erhard Seminar Training), in 1974, for at least 5 years, The Sage Experience, followed by numerous other Personal Growth / Spiritual Growth workshops, seminars and Trainings, including Landmark Education, Loving Relationships Training, Non Violent Communication and Undefended Love.....
Also love the outdoors. Use to run/jog a lot... did marathons and triathlons... Had a knee injury and it looked like that put an end to running. Want to explore getting back to running & triathlons. Love sailing, sailboats, camping, snow skiing, hiking, walks. Love bicycles and bicycling together, especially on a Tandem Bike. Love TRAVEL-domestic & intl... (would love to have us plan a fall bicycle vacation in Vermont, staying in B&B's,...and a bicycle trip in southern France for wine & great food. A camping or ski vacation would be great too). Use to make wine, and use to belong to a wine tasting club...Would be great to get back to making wine and/or beer with a partner. Love hot tubs and trips to various rural Hot Springs. Really enjoy receiving & giving massages. Have serious interests in holistic health.
I have a long background in Architecture,...most of it overseeing the design & construction of large public projects like airports, schools & libraries. Been "the chef" in numerous restaurants, owned a catering business, managed many restaurants, and have many years in food businesses. Love dining out at restaurants with good, healthy food. Enjoy HOME. Love cooking with a partner or friends,... sitting down to homemade meals together... Love dogs, especially my dog Buster, a miniature Goldendoodle..... and animals in general....Love plants & flowers (especially tropicals) and growing herbs & veggies at home or in community gardens. Like remodeling and home additions with a partner. Enjoy electronic gizmos,... computers, iPADs, iPhones, stereo systems, bicycles, cars and engines. Into smooth jazz, disco, some classical and soft/classic rock. Love travel...Lived & went to school in France... Have traveled throughout Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, all over Europe, Croatia and Britain. Lived in numerous places around the world, including 20 years in Hawaii...
With regards to Personality Profiles, the Myers-Briggs Personality Profile says I am an ENFP/J.....In terms of LOVE LANGUAGES, I love "touch" and "quality time together". .I'm a romantic.... Love being intimate with my partner...being emotionally "connected",...going deep into "oneness"! I really like when we do things "together"...as a functional, synergistic "team",...whether that is planning a vacation, cooking a meal, or taking a shower together. And, want a partner who really enjoys and needs that we do things "together".. as "equals". I am into cuddling, kissing, holding, caressing. I started studing Spirituality with her for 20 years.... 15 years later met an 85 year old man who was Buddhist.... and studied Buddhism with him for 3 years...and belonged to a Gay Men's Buddhist Sangha.
