I like to think deeply about things and reflect upon their significance. Making jokes and laughing also comes easily. Over the years, I've heard people say that I'm thoughtful, easy-going, courageous, funny, confident, affectionate and unflappable. Lots of different projects and activities keep me busy. I especially enjoy visiting New Mexico every year.
Here is a quote I like a lot from a Zia Pueblo elder: "In the past, the yardstick of success was 'How well are you maintaining culture, language, song, dance?"
I would like to think that I've played my part well to maintain culture, language, song, dance.
For fun I like to cook, swing dance and sing in a chorus. I like domesticity. I can spell domesticity.
If you would like, I will go to the symphony, or opera, or ballet, or theater, or museum with you and actually enjoy it! And I will have something intelligent to say about it to boot.
