| About Me

|
So I have all the credentials of a good family man. Married 25 years. I didn't want it to end but I had a serious spiritual study and practice which led to an awakening of conscience about the state of our modern world which caused a lot of friction. But we raised 2 great children together and I ran a business, maintained our mini farm and commercial buildings, built a house, chopped wood and ploughed the garden.
Now through hard work and fortune I have the material means to live very comfortably but I feel I have work to do in the world based on insights from my spiritual practice. I don't know the exact form it will take yet but I know we need to prepare to be able to survive a societal break down and be a seed for a new and better world based on inner work. The proverbial Phoenix rising from the ashes.
I have a house in Vilcabamba Ecuador where I live part of the year and have my residency. Plenty of food and water here, you can grow year round, cash is used for everything and no heat or A/C needed. So things are less dependent on the fragile, complex systems of the US or Europe. All that said I have my little house in Gila, NM where with solar and back up storage one could survive. The thing is spiritual work requires a little bit of free time, basic comforts, freedom from fear and community.
So I don't know. I do my inner work and wait and watch. The markets and the world economy are very fragile on many fronts. It would sure be nice to have a companion to share perceptions, insights and simple pleasure with. |

When I was 23 a friend gave me "the inner game of tennis" so when I found out that by an effort of will I could control my bad temper I was hooked. Bhagvadgita, Paul Brunton, Ramana Maharshi and then the movie "Meetings with Remarkable Men" which put me in contact with the Miami Gurdjieff group in 1979.

After the body dies...

-
I would define a spiritual experience as...
-
Turning my wordless attention to sensing the body. Everything is material just different states of energy, finer or coarser. What can be developed is my ability to open to the finer energy from above which is always present but needing me to raise my vibration to harmonize. This requires much understanding and years of practice.
-
A spiritual experience I would like to share...
-
For the last dozen years or so i have become a singer for Lakota ceremonies. I also pour my own sweat lodge in Ecuador.
-
The spiritual books and authors that have had the greatest impact on me...
-
Gurdjieff and his students Ouspensky and De Saltzman
