It was long time ago, after discovering this noble path of meditation, silence and nature, and after the deep "mystical" experiences and inner healing I went through. In deep thankfulness and compassion a longing arose in me : to share, and help others to experience the same. And "somehow" the years passed by but this longing is not leaving me and often something deep inside of me kept reminding me, and sometimes even rebelling inside me : " I don't want to work for myself, I don't want to LIVE for myself, I don't want to do this meaningless job, I want to give and help !"
I have an idea, a vision, it's like a light that's leading me . Or call it a dream, but a realistic dream, with a vision, compassion and purpose that are leading me.
So I want to ask you the following questions:
1. Are you someone who is deeply devoted to the spiritual life, with the core of it being meditation, whether you call it vipassana, mindfulness, zen, shamatha, dhyana... and have you personally experienced the power of meditation within yourself and in your life?
2. Are you staying away from the "new age" stuff like reiki, crystals, angels, tarot, spiritualism, shamanism, chanting, hinduism, dance etc. ; and from mere reading books or following some teacher/guru?
3. Do you deeply love nature and would love to live surrounded by it, on land, and partially work on land growing some food (without being obsessed by "ecologism", "sustainability" or other simmilar philososphies) ?
4. Have you ever had any "spiritual experiences" which have changed and healed you, to some degree?
5. Have you been to any long silent retreats?
If your answer is YES to the questions 1-3 (4-5 are a plus)
THEN WE COULD TALK
And this is roughly my idea/vision:
- We buy a piece of land and start planting fruit tree, vegetables, berries etc. and building some buildings (possibly with natural materials), for living and meditating.
- We take volunteers from around the world.
- As soon as there are needed facilities we could have small meditation (yoga,tai chi etc) retreats for a small number of people, for the start. If and when there is enough people involved and funds available, it could grow into a proper little
retreat centre.
- Maybe not stay there full time but go (in winter or otherwise) ourselves to some retreats and to volunteer in meditation centres and monasteries.
- Possibly go to the 'normal life' and work for money when needed (what a wonderful practice opprtunity).
- Another option to do some small scale farming and sell some produce to earn enough money for basic needs,
without losing touch with 'that which is important'.
I AM open for a special relationship with a female person butI'm also open for several kindred spirits of both genders for this "project", main thing is we have a simmilar vision.
I personally would love this to be not far from the seaside, in mediterranean climate and where there is lot of open nature and forest, like in Croatia.
We can talk about your and my wishes and ideas and visions.
I'm open for various options yet the main thing is that the simmilar basic life intention leads us - a total devotion to the life of spirituality and the desire to share the path and help others, never forgetting that spiritual life is a personal inner longing and a quest to become truly free, that is free from the mental defilements, the cause of all suffering.
Or maybe you've already been thinking about something simmilar or maybe already doing something or you know about some simmilar project somewhere, where we could join. Or you own a piece of land .
Or you'd be just happy to sell what you have and move somewhere and do something good in this world.
I know there are quite a lot of people in the world who dream of something like this, but our own inner qualities, experiences and the fundamental intention in life are here the most important. If we have this then nothing can stop us. So if my words have deeply touched you it's time to have courage and contact and meet and maybe together start something beautiful.
