Seeking a: Woman (41 to 61)

About Me
I have been seeking God since the age of 20 or so, but many detours and difficulties have presented themselves along the way. This world and life are a play and ultimately an illusion, but at the same time all that is good and beautiful in it is a window into the Divine Reality. The only purpose of this life is to remove the veils covering our spiritual Heart in order to unveil that Reality at the core of our being. Marriage is an exercise in the development of the virtues needed for this. "It is not good for men to be alone", as it says in the book of Genesis.
I love to read, to meditate and to think on topics of metaphysics, religion, and spiritual life. I love the study of languages. I love to travel to foreign countries (especially where religion is still the center of life), and a year of study in India in the 1980s was transformative; Indian and Morocco are the 2 countries with a special place in my heart. Other interests include cats (I have 2). gardening, classical music, and hiking, especially in the American West.
I was married for 7 years once, but the difference in personalities was too great. Have had a few attempts since but in the U.S. these days it is difficult to find women who value spirituality and virtue, while I have no interest in the entertainment culture of the U. S.

My favorite books:
Books of Frithjof Schuon are by far my favorite, the foundation of my spiritual life.
If you wish to understand my mindset and also probably gain a new perspective on human history and the modern world, a good book to start with would be A Guide for the Perplexed, by EF Schumacher, which turned my world-view upside down some 40 years ago. Also, Religion in the Modern World by Lord Northbourne was another foundational book.
