Navigate Photos Via Arrows Or Keyboard

On Apr 14, 2021 we released enhancements to our photo gallery - you can now navigate photos by clicking the left/right arrow icons or by hitting the left/right arrows on your keyboard. Thank you, MrMeditation, for this great suggestion!

While we are planning a complete profile overhaul (including the experience of viewing profile photos) as part of our migration to a modern web/app experience, we felt it was important to bring this new, streamlined navigation functionality to the current photo gallery as soon as possible.

What Did The Photo Gallery Look Like Before This Change?

Before this change, the photo gallery looked like this on desktop:

and like this on mobile:

The only way to navigate between photos was to click on the numbers above the photo - which was difficult to do on a phone.

What Does The Photo Gallery Look Like Now?

The photo gallery now looks like this on desktop:

and this on mobile:

On mobile, we've focused the page content into view so you no longer have to zoom in to see it. You can now tap the left/right arrows to navigate between the photos, making it much easier to navigate between all photos on a phone.

We've also enabled detection of the left/right arrow keys so desktop users can navigate photos that way as well.
